Swaziland, South Africa —
Justin Harding shot a two-under 70 on Sunday to win the Lombard Insurance Classic by one stroke over Neil Cheetham. Harding had five birdies and three bogeys in an up-and-down round at Royal Swazi Sun Club to capture his second career title by finishing at 14-under 202.
"It was hard work out there," Harding said. "I had a bad start, but I managed to hang in there, and, although I wasn't as good on the greens, I managed to make the one extra putt when I needed it."
Harding made a six-foot birdie putt on the 17th to match Cheetham, who had birdied the same hole moments earlier, at 14-under. Cheetham shot a four-under 68 overall, but a final bogey on the 18th left him at minus-13, one shot off the pace.
Cheetham found the greenside bunker on the last and missed a 10-footer for par that would have extended the round.
Louis de Jager (70) finished third at 12-under 204, while Jaco Ahlers (66) was fourth at minus-10.
Ulrich van den Berg (69), Desvonde Botes (72) and Merrick Bremner (73) shared fifth at nine-under 207.
